1991 CONCEPT CAPRICE SS
This project started years ago at a well known company "Speartech Fuel Injection Systems Inc." located in Anderson, IN. Well known for their computer modifications (ECU re-programming) and special skills towards re-working harness' to fit engine swap needs as well as several other custom performance needs. THE SWAP
305 TPI Removed and replaced with 97 VORTEC 454 Port fuel Injected (Truck motor) 300HP to start. 4L60E Transmission out of a 96 SS Camaro. Threw in a very RARE (Factory) 2500 stahl converter from a 86 Corvette. The rear end was replaced w/ a 93-96 9C1 (Police Cruiser) 3.42 posi-trac! Both front and rear sway bars were used as well as re-enforced to handle extra torque.
THE MODS
Complete engine/tranny harness replacement. ECU re-programmed ( Sequential fuel injection now) F-series trans kit. Custom Cold Air induction (1 of a kind) Trans and Power steering coolers. 4 CORE race radiator w/dual fans. AC Delco CD ignition Module (from Indy racecar programs NO rev limit) 2.5" dual exhaust w/flow masters and cross-over pipe. SS Impala straight-ratio steering box. 17" by 8.5 impala SS rims w/ Nitto 450 Xtreme 255/55-17 tires. Custom (EXPORT ONLY) Caprice SS Ext. Decals and Int. Dash badgees. T84 export headlights. Impala SS Grill. Interior mostly stock cept for a 9C1 police certified & calibrated dash cluster w/tach and gauges. Nice Pioneer Super TuneR CD.

WON THE 1996 NAISSO IMPALA SS DRAG SHOOT OUT IN ARLINGTON, TX. HAS PLACED IN DOZENS OF SMALLER EVENTS IN THE DECADE AFTER. RECENT MODs HAVE TIPPED THE HORSE POWER TO 350 W/448lbs TORQUE. This means 13+sec Ets w/top speed in of 109 (threw the mufflers and sittin' on Comp TA's) AND YES the AC still works and it is good and cold. Body solid 7 out of 10 no major damage any where.
