This is a 1992 Caprice with a 305HO out of an 86 Monte Carlo SS. The engine has a performer intake and carb, brand new hei ignition, Comp Cams Magnum 270 cam, Erson performance valve springs, chrome covers, chrome oil pan, chrome timing cover hiding an SA Gear drive, and a melling high volume oil pump. The top end has been gone through approx 6,000 miles ago. I have done everything appropriately, such as about 10 oil changes since rebuilt. I understand the bottom end was done approx 30,000 miles ago. This motor is tough, but lacking a little in torque. It may be due to the 4800lbs it's pushing around. Heavy car, but lots of fun. I upgraded the rear gears from a 2.73:1 to a 3.73:1. Now the car has excellent take off and acceleration and still does 18mpg on the highway! Please only serious inquiries. The body isn't the greatest as prior to me owning the car 4 farmers kids learned how to drive in it. See pics! You do understand that this car comes with stock 15" wheels with good tires. I'm sorry I don't have any good recent pics of that. I will update this in the next week. Thank you! |
