KBB retail on this car is around $14,000 and a lot more has been invested on top of a stock car, so be realistic. This has got to be one of the fastest MR2 Spyders around. It was Dyno tuned, registering 220 whp and 192 lb/ft of torque, that would be the equivalent of 263 HP at the flywheel (how manufacturers measure HP). That means this car has about 125 more HP than a stock Spyder. This performance is due mostly to a professionally installed Haas turbo kit that was specifically designed for the MR2 Spyder, and includes both an intercooler, and a meth injection system to keep it all reliable. It also has all of the supporting performance mods that would be expected including 550cc injectors, intake, headers, exhaust, and of course an Apexi PFC computer professionally tuned to maximize the power. The power to weight ratio of this car is 10 pounds per whp, which is just slightly more weight per whp than an 05-07 Corvette!!! To compare it to a more direct competitor, it has around 20 hp more than a stock S2000, but weighs over 600 pounds less! Needless to say this car can flat out fly. The suspension is currently stock, but many chassis supports have been added to improve the handling and the ride quality. Between the great stock suspension, the well thought out chassis supports, and the mid-engine layout this car handles like a supercar while maintaining great ride quality. Also returns fuel economy around 25 mpg. Car also has: - Custom fiberglass console with a perfectly mounted (no gaps, fits flush) Pioneer touch screen navigation system - This car now will come with proper 2003 stock Spyder rims (polished, + staggered with 15" front, 16" rear) with brand new, top end Dunlop extreme performance tires. - 1000 watt stereo with 9 Infinity speakers including a sub (the sub and extra speakers are a professionally installed in a custom box behind the seats) - Stock black leather seats in very good condition - Soft top is in great condition without any flaws to mention The only known issues are a slow oil leak from the turbo (appears to need 1/4 quart added every 1000 miles), and an occasionally inconsistent idle (it usually purs at a steady 900 or so rpm, but sometimes fluctuates a little bit. This is an amazing car, but I need to move one of my MR2's for a more practical car. I now prefer to keep this one and move the other, but if the deal is right.
