Don't let the outside fool you. The frame is strong and solid no rust there (believe it or not), the front beam is also rust free and perfect. The body as you can see by the pictures has some rust :) Below are some pros: Replaced wiring harness with a brand new one (not a universal kit) $350+ Replaced all hard and soft brake lines, rebuilt wheel cylinders replaced master cylinder ~ 2008 Replaced seals in reduction boxes, replaced axle boots. ~2008 Replaced late model rear taillights that had been hacked in with 58 model year tail lights Purchased new West Coast Metric front glass seals never installed Rebuild shifter linkages, everything replaced. Brand new tires ~2008 Comes with -+ $1800 in Gearson green repair panels < I can send you the invoice and explain better in email I have a spare complete drum to drum transaxle from a low mileage 68 Squareback that can be added into this deal if the price is right I have the 40hp motor that came with the truck, ran great, but the inside of the heads were pitted and probably should be replaced Grafted in a donor front cab floor, not 100% welded in but rust free & very solid The SUPER PROS - will add these items in for the right trade I have a Miller 220 TIG/stick no torch listed on Amazon for almost $3k A complete manual hydraulic rotisserie - fits not only this truck but other smaller cars just fine I have a low mileage mild 1776 pro-built that can be added for the right trade The cons: It has a dent on the nose It's been in storage since late 2008, lost steam on the project and life has smacked me in the face. While in storage one side of the front glass has a crack No motor is installed Yes it's going to take a lot of man hours to fix I'm not stupid nor do I need you to explain body work to me Cars I'm interested in trading for: A 2nd gen Corvair 2 door hardtop (that's a 65 and up model year) with a manual trans 110hp A Corvair Truck or Van Older Econoline truck or A100 Late 70's early 80's El Camino Possibly a C10 or similar truck, short beds preferred Really looking for something that's all there, not missing half it's parts. Trying to get out of having projects all together, would like to find something that runs and drives. I don't own a car hauler and while I have a buddy who does, he charges by the mile, so really looking for someone who has the means to transport. May entertain other offers, but no late model foreign cars unless it's a Porsche :) Tons more pictures available upon reques |
