This 1951 Packard is a real head turner. It is a runnign and driving vehicle. I recieved this car from my grandfather who purchased it from a deceased friend's widow. The car has been garage kept its entire life except for now since in my possession since I do not have the garage space for it. I am getting a cover for it. I have driven this car around town a few times and it runs great. BUT with any 60 year old ca it does need some attention to be perfect. At least one of the brake cylinders are leaking and will need to be addressed. The steering is loose and the components will need to be addressed. The driver's side lock cylinder on the outside will not lock and unlock with the key. The passenger side does. The door seals may need to be replaced. There is some leakage in rain. The car is not perfect cosmetically but is nice. The passenger side has a small dent and scrape of paint where it was rubbed up against the garage. I will provide photos of that to anyone interested. It is not severe at all. The interior could use a good cleaning and the back of the front seat was cheaply recovered at some point. Lastly my grandfather rewired the car and it is done properly but the wires needed to be cleaned up under the hood. It is still on the 6V system. I need to sell this car.. It is a running, rust free, original classic. Come get it for $7500.. Call or text if interested at 865-805-0808 |
