| My Volvo is in the shop and completed. I just have to pay for it and pick it up. First one with 1500 takes the CRX home. Up for sale is my 1989 Honda CRX. The factory model of this car is the "HF" which stands for High Fuel efficiency. The car does NOT have the original HF motor in it though, I repeat, does NOT have the original HF motor in it. The car got a 1.5 VTEC motor installed about a year or two back for a little more power. The motor is a D15B for you Honda guys. This swap is typically done to the HF models because the HF's were made extremely lightweight for best possible EPA ratings. I purchased the cars a few months back for the sole purpose of commuting from Hastings to downtown Grand Rapids 5 days a week, 74 Miles round trip daily. I have a newer Volvo S80 that I owe money on and is in dyer need of a new engine, and is too nice of a car to let sit and rot, so that's the reason why I have to give up this car. I really wish I could keep this car as my daily commuter because it's been absolutely a tremendous car to me. It's got a 9 gallon gas tank, and goes about 305-325 to a tank, depending on how much you get on it. I do alot of city driving too, so that's particularly why I only get 35-36 overall MPG's. I took it on a trip to Detroit and back, and averaged 43 on the highway. The car is phenominal; starts, drives, shifts, and stops great. Now time to list the specifics on it. 1.5 VTEC D15B Engine Approximately 75k on the motor, they come from Japan with an estimated 40k on them. 202k on the actual body 5-Speed Manual Transmission New clutch installed at time of motor swap Newer tires, timing belt, and water pump Sony CD player Full Tuner Exhaust, Header and all. (sounds ok, but I'm not big on the ricer sound) I DO have a brand new STOCK muffler for it, that will come with the car for the new owner. I bought the muffler to eventually install on the car to eliminate the gurthy tone, but the car got between 35-40 MPG's, so I wasn't complaining. ______________________________________________________________________ As far as flaws go: The car is almost 21 years old, so it does have some normal wear and tear, and a few minor rust spots starting to appear on the normal Honda areas of concern. By no means is it an eye sore though. The driver's door shuts a little bit hard, but I've owned alot of honda's, and I assure you, this isn't the first car one that's done it. The plastic interior panel that goes behind the front seats, and has a lid to lift up for storage is broken and cracked in several places. It looks like someone ripped it out of another CRX and just threw it in the back to cover up the metal floor. It's barely functional, but matches the interior and looks descent. Other than that, I really can't think of anything else. If you would like to come check it out, please feel free. I will not allow people to drive the vehicle without me riding along. Nor do I want someone coming that does not know how to drive a manual. Nor will I allow anyone beating on the car to see how fast it goes. These are all things that people can do when they are the new owners of the car. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I will answer them as quickly and accurate as possible. You can always call and ask too. Please don't ask questions I've already listed the answers too in this ad. Possible trades. 269-986-3430 (Cell) My name is Mitchell, thanks for your time.
