| I bought this car back in 1991 and I am the second owner. When Chevy discontinued the Monte Carlo in 1986, they introduced the Eurosport in a 4 door sedan in 1987. The next year in '88, they made a few 2 door VR models and since RED was a special order color, only 64 of these were ever made, making this one of the least produced cars every made by Chevy. This is the way it came from the factory. I drove this car until 1999 then I garaged it until 2006 when I put in a brand new GM Racing HO crate motor and started restoring all the mecanical aspects of the car. Here are all the new parts in addition to the GM crate motor and rebuilt tranny: Complete new fuel system with new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, injectors Complete new brake system with new rotors, calipers, drums, wheel and master cylinders, and lines Complete new electrical system with new alternator, plugs, wires, coil packs, battery Complete new cooling system with radiator, water pump, thermostat Complete new exhaust system with all new pipe all the way back to new Flowmaster EVERYTHING mechanical was replaced with new parts like belts, hoses, lines, etc. etc. The only thing I didn't replace was the a/c compressor, just wasn't in a hurry to do that part yet. So I've driven it about 3000 miles since all the work was done and it rides out fine. I put new tires on the chrome rims, they are a little rough looking, but better than steelies! :) The body is straight as an arrow, NEVER WRECKED, never even bumped. All original metal all the way around. The paint is still very shiney in most parts but there are places where the clear is starting to peel away and a little bit of bubbling on the rear trunk, that is the only place. The interior is all gray velour and in great shape for its age. Carpet needs to be replaced. Already has a new headliner. Couple of interior pieces need to be replaced. Has a couple of other small minor issues but nothing major, its in great shape to be almost 20 years old and a classic. I will consider all cash offers and/or trades. Don't really have to sell...but I am not into doing paintwork so if someone else can do it, this would be a cool one-of-a-kind that grabs attention. It still turns heads whenever I drive it and everyone asks "what is it" cause they have never seen one before, its that rare. Hopefully someone else can finish bringing it back to life and enjoy it like I did. Offer me anything, you |
