| i just traded for this jeep so i dont know alot about it. here is the description the previous owner had of it. It is a 1982 CJ7. The 4.2 motor was rebuilt about 5k ago by Clifford Performance. Has Clifford Performance valve cover, cam, header. manual trans. The lift is around 10" in all. Rides on 15x38.5x15 Ground Hawgs and 15x10 american racing outlaw II wheels. Does have a hard top but the back window was busted out and never got around to replacing it also it only has half soft doors. Has RCI baja style seats but thru time the covers were lost. There is some rustin in the floors. The driver side being the worst. Then theres two holes where the seatbelts are in the back. The driverside floor pan is the worst and the passanger just has a small hole. The body itslef is as solid as they come, I havent found any. Has AMC 20 and DANA axles with ARB air lockers in both and solid axles. The motor runs great and has ALOT of power but leaks a lil bit of oil around the valve cover. Could use some exhaust work, the collector gaskets have rotted from time and sitting. The steering has a lil bit of play in it. Power steering works but one of the lines broke a few months back and I've never replaced it. Replace the line and put some fluid back in it and the play shouldnt be as bad. The jeep does run and drive good, except for the steering. like i said that is the previous owners words about it. he drove it here about 3 hours one way. i dont know if i would recomend doing that or not that would be up to you. has clean tennessee title. looking to trade for classic car or truck. must come to me as my trailer is destroyed. i have more pics at http://s718.photobucket.com/albums/ww181/hundley_24/ |
