| ***UPDATE 11/7/09*** Need some cash quick, LOWERED CASH PRICE TO $3800 FIRM IF YOU CAN COME GET IT WITHIN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN ***UPDATED 11/01/09**** You are looking at a 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 4door Sedan. It comes with the stock "Rocket 324" motor and Hydramatic 4speed Automatic Transmission. According to the person I bought this car from, he got it from an elderly man who started a complete frame off restoration. When he bought it from the old guy, it was a rolling chasis accompanied by boxes of parts all organized in envelopes and labled. He put all the pieces back together and got it up and running and then began upgrading things.... The Good: (This is stuff that I have found receipts for) Motor Rebuild Freshly re-cored radiator New battery New alternator (generator is still good, but the alternator works better) Newly reupolstered seats, black on green cloth Newly Painted Dash Full brake rebuild (booster, master, lines, drums and shoes). Frame is painted and solid, no rust or rot. Front end has been rebuilt Under the car looks amazing.... Power Brakes Power Steering Still have 3 boxes full of parts including 4 brand new wing windows with tracks and fender skirts. The Bad: Needs Tranny Rebuild or Replaced Needs headliner The windshield and back window have some delamination but no cracks, the passenger front window has a small crack but its just straight glass and its at the very bottom so its not too noticiable. Needs weather stripping Paint is ok, but definately not show quality. I was holding off on putting the rest of the trim on till i decide if im going to repaint it or not. Chrome is good except the front bumper has some rust and pitting, needs to be rechromed. All in all this car is in amazing condition. I really cant find any rust especially in the usual places, you can check it out with a magnet as well and try to find filler (as long as you dont damage it.) I believe what I am asking is definately more then a fair price for what you are getting. THAT IS CASH PRICE UNTIL I REPAIR THE TRANNY (after I repair the tranny price will be going back up) trade value should be some where in the $6000-$8000 range. Price will go up as I add/do more to it! Perfect start for a rat rod or complete restore.... check out more pics at: http://www.theshorty.com/test/olds.html If you want a specific picture please feel free to email me, I have tried to take as many pictures as I can. Email or call with questions! Would love to trade for a 59-65 GM Car, a Bagged or Lifted Suburban or maybe a nice boat. Not interested in bikes or mustangs.... |
